Route interpolation and recognition is very important and we are making sure the client can properly simulate this as you described. Yes, eventually all the STARS functions you described will be simulated, I am not sure all will be available on initial release though.

Hello! We have decided to start using the IPS Board "Clubs" feature as a way of exploring the popularity of various air traffic divisions throughout the world. Right now, the plan is to launch POSCON with the United States, Canada, and maybe Mexico; however, if enough users show interest in forming other divisions, we will consider launching with the most popular ones! Here is how it will work: Anyone can nominate a division by responding to this forum thread. POSCON will create a page for that division in the Clubs directory. After the Club page is created, recruit as many people as possible to your desired division and make sure they stay active. Help POSCON by providing us with sector data, SOPs, and VA affiliations. If your nominated division shows enough interest and activity over the next 6 months, we will provide the necessary infrastructure to bring your division to life as part of the POSCON Network!

Some people have emailed me and asked what the sector file format for our ATC client will be. I have spoken to our team and we are operating on the idea that the initial sector file format will be the same as that used in the current EuroScope client. This means it will most likely be SCT2. While this is a proposal only and the decision is not 100% final, we most likely will take this path in order to expedite the release of the network. In future releases of the ATC client, we will be moving away from this format. Please reference this manual for further details on how to create these files.
