  1. Taken directly from the front page
  2. Andrew, will text-communication be supported by the network, or will all pilot-controller communications take place over voice?
  3. In that case, awesome. Will pilots receive a transponder code if ATC is offline? Are all planes going to be able to use this, or only planes that would actually have a PDC/CPDLC system (i.e. not a Cub/Skyhawk)?
  4. These divisions already exist, look before posting.
  5. ECAC Eurocontrol - UK Job Postings
  6. I think you probably need a pretty advanced system to check if a route is truly valid. For the US at least, there may be reroutes required on a certain route, and many different combinations of what could be considered a valid or invalid route. Additionally, simply the choice of one SID versus another may not be able to be determined by a computer all that easy (If SFO is 1/28, assign the TRUKN2, but if the plane is heavy they may require the SNTNA2, but if OAK is East everyone gets the SNTNA2, and at night they could fly the NIITE3). There are too many exceptions to a standard for this to be able to work globally in my opinion.
  7. The divisions already exist by country.
  8. I'm not sure on how you're planning on structuring Nassau, but it is significantly different in the real world than on VATSIM. The Nassau FIR on VATSIM (SFC-600) is covered by the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Ocean Areas. The Miami ARTCC actually does extend all the way to San Juan. I'm not sure why it was separated on VATSIM into Centers. "Miami Oceanic" is just another area of Miami Center. I would recommend putting Piarco, Curacao, Santo Domingo, Port Au Prince, Havana, Kingston, and Nassau together, leaving San Juan as part of the US division.
  9. How is management being handled in the US? Will there be ARTCCs with ATMs, DATMs, etc.?
  10. All looks very cool. Will the new client support different radar modes so you can have one display running ERAM, one running STARS, and two running ASDE-X? Are landlines going to be implemented into the clients?
