Policies
All Network Directors, Managers, and other staff (including Division staff) must remain active within the POSCON community and within their respective departments. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Responding to internal management communications within three days or less, unless granted a leave of absence from their direct supervisor
- Participating in at least one Network or Division sanctioned event per month, unless granted a leave of absence from their director supervisor
- When appropriate, responding to general membership correspondence without undue delay
The following staff positions require candidates to be 21 years of age or older on the day they assume the position:
- President
- Network Directors
- Network Managers
- Moderators
The following staff positions require candidates to be 18 years of age or older on the day they assume the position:
- Division Managers
- Sub-Division Managers
- Support Specialists.
All other positions require candidates to be 16 years of age or older on the day they assume the position.
7g.3.1 Definition. Development Access ("dev-access") allows a user to connect to our development environments, which includes but is not limited to:

7g.3.2 Authorization. The following staff positions are permitted to receive server dev-access:
- President
- Network Directors
- Network Managers
- Division Managers
- Sub-Division Managers
- Moderators
- Support Specialists
- Facility Data Specialists
Network Directors, Managers, and other staff must maintain good standing within the POSCON community at all times. Since "good standing" is sometimes subjective, the final determination of "good standing" shall be determined by the Director or Manager responsible for the appointment.
7g.5.1 Policy. A maximum of one staff position may be held by an individual at any given time on the POSCON Network.
7g.5.1 Exceptions. Anyone may interview and be hired as Moderator. Other exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the President.
7g.6.1 Frequency. The following meetings should occur at the listed intervals:
- Network Director/Manager meeting - once per calendar month
- Division meeting - once per calendar month per Division
7g.6.2 Attendance. In order for a meeting to occur, at least three staff members must be in attendance. Network Director/Manager meeting attendance is restricted to Network Directors and Network Managers unless an exemption is made by the President. Division meeting attendance is restricted to the respective Division staff and any Network Director or Network Manager who wishes to attend.
7g.6.3 Notification. Notification of upcoming meetings should be made no later than 5 days prior to the meeting in the respective Discord with an @everyone mention. For Divisions, this should be in the #local-divsion-team channel,
7g.6.3 Agenda. When a meeting is held, an agenda must be created and distributed at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to all applicable staff members.
7g.6.3 Minutes. Meetings must have one person designated as the secretary to document the meeting discussion. At the conclusion of the meeting, the meeting minutes must be posted in the appropriate section within the document system.
Any vacant position that normally reports to a specific Director or Manager shall be assumed by that respective Manager or Director until filled.
Any person wishing to obtain a position that contributes Work Product to the POSCON Non-Profit Organization (POSCON Inc.) is required to sign the Volunteer Agreement. This includes, but is not limited to the following positions:
- President
- Network Directors
- Network Managers
- Division Managers
- Sub-Division Managers
- Moderators
- Support Specialists
Other positions can designated by the President.
Volunteers can hold whatever position(s) they desire at organization(s) outside of POSCON under two conditions:
- The Volunteer is able to dedicate sufficient time to the work required by POSCON; and
- The position(s) held outside of POSCON cannot jeopardize the intellectual property of POSCON.
If there is a potential that the outside position(s) could result in information sharing between POSCON and the outside organization(s), then the Volunteer MUST consult with the President and obtain explicit approval to maintain the outside position(s).
