  1. @Andrea Mazzoni I will post a month before on the forums - I don't have a specific date for any of those destinations yet.
  2. I recently traveled to Asia and visited with members of the Hong Kong division (see pic below). We had a great discussion about the future of POSCON in Asia. I will periodically post updates of when I travel, please feel free to reach out to me and we can arrange meetings to discuss POSCON in detail! Here are my 2019 summer travel destinations: Amsterdam Edinburgh Shannon/Limerick Zurich Lisbon Berlin Bologna Dubrovnik
  3. As promised, here is the January 2019 POSCON development update: I am pleased to announce that on Saturday, January 19th, we officially began Closed Beta testing. Our initial test consisted of a small group of pilots and controllers that signed onto the POSCON Network and conducted a scheduled test that lasted approximately two hours. The test was a huge success and we are very excited about the next one! We plan on conducting at least 3-4 more scheduled tests before we expand our testing pool (i.e. add more people). We are not revealing a timeline of when this expansion may occur, so please do not ask. We are also no longer accepting any more testers or applications for testers. That is all for now! Please have a safe and enjoyable rest of your week.
  4. @Oscar Vazquez Thanks, I will be in touch with you in the next few weeks to discuss.
  5. @Armagan Breahna Hi, thanks for your interest! We are already all set with the Turkish translation! Thanks though!
  6. @Mathieu Laflamme Most other Caribbean divisions have already been created, check the Clubs section.
  7. Hello and welcome to everyone interested in the Bahamas Division of POSCON! I have created this forum to explore the possibility of releasing a division for Bahamas during beta testing. Show this person, I'm going to be a member of this show, I'm a guy, I'm a guy, I'm a guy, I'm a guy and I'm a guy! If there is enough interest and discussion, we will devote our resources to creating the necessary infrastructure. We are going to need help with sector file construction and writing procedures! If you have any interest in helping us write this material, please email [email protected]
  8. Every VM costs money. There has to be a large demand for one (i.e. a lot of users from Sub Sahara) for us to consider a VM in SA. Start recruiting and maybe we can make that a reality!
  9. Hello and welcome to everyone interested in the Chile Division of POSCON! I have created this forum to explore the possibility of releasing a division for Chile during beta testing. If you have any interest in helping us write this material, please email [email protected] ¡Hola y bienvenidos a todos los interesados en la División de POSCON de Chile!
  10. You will be notified via social media and these forums when when we go into Open Beta.
  11. POSCON will most likely proceed down the route of special airport/airspace certifications; however, many of the ATC "policies" have yet to be determined and are open for discussion.
  12. Thanks guys for all your interest in translating. We are going to hold off on further translations until we are closer to CPDLC implementation. I will contact the people who responded to this thread when we are ready. Thanks again!
  13. The problem is you want to keep unique identity within divisions... to make sure they can develop their own "community". It is a balance between standardization and identity. In regards to the oceanic operations, yes we will be simulating HF.
  14. There are serious limitations on VATSIM for shared cockpit and shared radar simply does not exist on VATSIM.
  15. You can't yet. Expect an update on dates in January.
  16. @Nitschtr Wow, thanks for all the questions. I will do my best to answer as many as I can. ATC radar sharing is easy, and will probably be available on the final public release of the network. However, the drones are a huge project that we have only just scratched the surface of. Don't expect drones in the open beta, its more like a Phase 2 item. The idea for drones is they will be partially AI, enough so that controllers can have fun when there are no other "real" pilots online. Hopefully over-time, they will become 100% intelligent. Ground clamping is 100% solved. Lateral deviations due to runway/taxiway/apron differences is another issue that we have ideas for, but will be a much tougher issue to solve. As for the more detailed ideas about shared radar... lets just put it this way, you are gonna like the end result, I promise you that ?
