 Share

General
Revision: 02 Mar 2022

Overview. Queen Alia International Airport (IATA: AMM, ICAO: OJAI) (Arabic: مطار الملكة علياء الدولي, is Jordan's foremost and largest airport and is located in Zizya (Al-Jiza) 30 kilometres (20 mi) south of the capital city, Amman. It is named after Queen Alia, who died in a helicopter crash in 1977. The airport is home to the country's national flag carrier, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and serves as a significant hub for Jordan Aviation.

Runway Use. 26R/L ops are normally used (26R for departure and 26L for landing) other configurations are:

  • 26R and 26L used for both departure and landing
  • 08L for departure and landing, 08R mostly used for landing traffic (No ILS on 08R/ RNAV only)

Transponder use on Ground. All ACFT should be squawking their assigned code before push-back request. Transponder should be set to STBY at all movements on ground. It should be switched on upon passing the holding point/bar for the desired departure runway.

Scenery. There are some add-on sceneries for Queen Alia International Airport, We recommend using downloading one because the default scenery for all 4 simulators have lots of wrong positions and missing objects.

FSX/P3D/MSFS Approved Scenery           XP11 Approved Scenery
                                             MFSG                        XP11

Charts. Charts can be accessed from several providers on the internet.

Uncontrolled Operations. When POSCON ATC is offline, the following frequencies should be used:
