This Virtual Operator has NOT received an official operating corticate yet.
All the information contained in subsequent sections should be considered in draft status.
A. These operations specifications are issued to AAvirtual, whose principal base of operation is located at:
The holder of these operations specifications is the holder of Operating Certificate Number AALA025A and shall hereafter be referred to as the certificate holder.
In addition to the Positive Control Network's policies and standards, the certificate holder shall operate under the United States of America Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) issued and maintained by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The certificate holder is authorized to conduct:
- Air Carrier Flag operations in Common carriage pursuant to Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 119.21(a)(2)
- Air Carrier Domestic operations in Common carriage pursuant to Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 119.21(a)(1)
- Air Carrier Supplemental operations in Common carriage pursuant to Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 119.21(a)(3)
The certificate holder shall conduct these kinds of operations in accordance with the specific authorizations, limitations, and procedures in these operations specifications and all appropriate Parts of the CFR.
The certificate holder is authorized to conduct operations using the following ICAO airline code(s) and radio telephony:
AAL - "American"
B. The certificate holder is authorized to use only the business name which appears on the certificate to conduct the operations described in subparagraph A.
C. The certificate holder is authorized to conduct flights under 14 CFR Part 91 for crewmember training, maintenance tests, ferrying, re-positioning, and the carriage of company officials using the applicable authorizations in these operations specifications, without obtaining a Letter of Authorization, provided the flights are not conducted for the purposes of achieving POSCON Points or rank.

Unless otherwise defined in these operations specifications, all words, phrases, definitions, and abbreviations have identical meanings to those used in Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Title 49 United States Code as cited in Public Law 103-272, as amended. Additionally, the definitions listed below are applicable to operations conducted in accordance with these operations specifications.

A. The certificate holder conducting 14 CFR Part 121 operations shall use the sources of aviation weather information described in this operations specification.
B. The following sources of weather are approved for all operations:
- For operations within the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, A010 automatically authorizes the use of the NWS (National Weather Service) or a source approved by the NWS to provide weather reports within the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. Sources approved by the NWS can be found in Volume 3, Chapter 26, Section 1, paragraph 3-2048. These specific sources do not have to be listed in A010.
- Virtual Operators are automatically authorized to use the POSCON live map (weather layer) for adverse weather detection and avoidance.
- Virtual Operators are automatically authorized to use METARs, TAFs, ATISes, ASOSs, and AWOSs provided by POSCON through our services APIs.
