Many of you have "legacy" accounts that pre-date our HQ software, which means you registered via the forums only and are not completely in the system yet. Please make sure you register in HQ by visiting the following link: https://hq.poscon.net/register Use the same name and email as you used to register previously for the forums and the accounts will automatically merge. Also, if you attended FSExpo 2019, that email should be the same as you used when you signed the attendance sheet.

Hi All- I saw the latest ATC client screen shots and wow, they seem to seem some great features in the data blocks. Question though: I assumed all those targets are live players, will the controller have a mix or live human traffic with controllable drones? That sure would make the low live traffic times more exciting. ?

Dear all, I have a Idea which could prove quite beneficial to Poscon. Many pilots choose to not fly online or use plugins like FScloud, however If you are able to create a plugin (poscon) where u can decide whether u want atc or not, you could attract a huge amount of pilots. I suggest that u could login in to use ATC service's or login to do more 'causal flying'. However in-order to remove unprofessional behavior you use two different server's where the two different categories fly in so people who use atc don't have to see the causal flyers and vice versa. In my eyes this would bring in many uses and as users become more comfortable with flying they can use th…

Just saw the FB post with pictures of your ATC client. I was wondering if we could get a feature/planned-feature list? I guess I'm just wondering how it compares with vERAM on the VATSIM side. Regards, Reuben

Good morning all! Here is just a quick update on our progress since January: We launched a new marketing site! If you haven't seen it already, take a look at https://www.poscon.net . For now, we are consider this site a "launch page", but long term it will evolve into a landing page used for attracting prospective members to the network. When we launch, existing members will rarely visit this page since they will have a "portal" to access all the network features. A few notes about the marketing site: We are aware of some graphical errors on large monitors and are working to fix those errors. Expect the content to evolve over time, but the bran…

How are you going to handle sim crashes? i.e VAS overloads (I don't mean aircraft crashing into the ground just to be clear). Are you just going to let pilots reconnect where they are or will they have to finish the flight offline if the airspace is busy?

Hey there! I’m really excited about HF frequencies being implemented in POSCON. Anyways, will POSCON have a SELCAL simulation, and if so, will this simulation be able to integrate with SELCAL panels in addon aircraft if the addon developer has datarefs setup for the panels? I know Felis (who is working on a 747-200 for XP11) is really interested in this, and added SELCAL lights on his panel. He will have HF radios as well on board. Regards, Rob

Hello POCON-TEAM, I want to know if I have you right understood on your new homepage. You stated that the ATC voices are all virtualized. Does this mean that all are arteficial ? I am really looking forward, also the short video clip shows the audio quality very clear. Keep up your good work !!! Cheers Pascal

Hi. Has there been any discussion on the way emergencies/non-normal situations are going to be handled? What I mean more specifically is, in XPlane, there is a feature to induce random failures. Will pilots and controllers be rewarded for dealing with these or will it be encouraged as long as it doesn't get in the way of anyone and will the automated traffic services have functions built in to deal with emergencies? Will 121.5 be used as an open frequency? Any replies are greatly appreciated as always. Jay

As promised, here is the January 2019 POSCON development update: I am pleased to announce that on Saturday, January 19th, we officially began Closed Beta testing. Our initial test consisted of a small group of pilots and controllers that signed onto the POSCON Network and conducted a scheduled test that lasted approximately two hours. The test was a huge success and we are very excited about the next one! We plan on conducting at least 3-4 more scheduled tests before we expand our testing pool (i.e. add more people). We are not revealing a timeline of when this expansion may occur, so please do not ask. We are also no longer accepting any more testers or applicati…

Hello Poscon, I'm Andrea, an user from Italy. I would talk about something that could be of interest for who want perform military operations. Both actual network doesn't allow an operation that it's essential in real life for the safety of every airspace. I talking about the scramble. Onestly, I have an idea that could be appropriate to allow the scramble operation inside POSCON. If a Enroute Controller doesn't receive any type of reply from a "zombie" pilot ( I don't know if in other countries this is the code for any aircraft not identified and without ATC contact) after 5 minutes, he could send a broadcast message with a command to any observer user online o…

Hello guys, I will tell you some points about bad weather condition operations on Boeing 737-800 based on FCOM. The following information applies to takeoffs on wet or contaminated runways: -Do not use reduced thrust for takeoff if runway is contaminated by slush, snow, standing water or ice -Reduced thrust is allowed for takeoff on a wet runway -V1 may be reduced to minimum -Takeoffs are not recommended when slush, wet snow or standing water depth is more than ½ inch (13mm) or dry snow depth is more than 4 inches (102mm) . For cold weathers, -Icing conditions exist when OAT or TAT is 10°C or below. Do no…

Will POSCON use real frequencies and HF over the Atlantic or like VATSIM and IVAO VHF frequencies? And wouldn't it be a good idea that every website of a POSCON division follows a uniform style? Because I personally hate it, when I have to search eg. charts or other information and every single division or vACC does look completely different...
