Coming from Vatsim I know they have their main sites for the Nations then separate one for each ARTCC. Will Poscon have something similar or how are you going to handle grouping the various ARTCC around the world?

Hi, From those who attended the Expo at Las Vegas, they had very good things to say about POSCON. Any chance for those who did not attend to get a look at how it was ? By the looks of things, the quality wings 787 is near completion for those people with P3Dv4. Is anyone else excited? I for one can not wait for this bird, especially after recently flying on the 787 - 8 variant myself. My only source to suspecting this being near completion is if anyone has VFX central, you will see a recent update that they have made support and the most recent update compatible with the 787 immersion pack!

Will we be seeing drone aircraft to fill the skys? Similar to pilot edge.

Hey Guys , Is there a possibility to add an option in the ATC Client for streaming the ATC Audio (even low bitrate is fine). I was hoping POSCON can have something like LivePOSCONATC (similar to LiveATC) . It would be also a great training tool for the Newbies especially those who are nervous to communicate via Voice. It can be used by Supervisors or just enthusiast (like me) who wish to listen to certain ATC Channel ? .

I was fiddling around with my PMDG 747 today and got to thinking. With vPilot audio is run strictly to and from it, it only receives the inputted freq from the aircraft. Now I don't know if this is a PMDG task or possibly the client that POSCON uses, but would it be possible to use the speaker function within the aircraft? I have attached a photo of what I am talking about for those of you who don't get at what I am saying. I feel this can be beneficial for a few reasons. 1. Some people have emailed me and asked what the sector file format for our ATC client will be. I have spoken to our team and we are operating on the idea that the initial sector file format will be the same as that used in the current EuroScope client. This means it will most likely be SCT2. While this is a proposal only and the decision is not 100% final, we most likely will take this path in order to expedite the release of the network. In future releases of the ATC client, we will be moving away from this format. Please reference this manual for further details on how to create these files. Every network of people needs a quick and reliable method of communicating and "meeting up". I think it would be great if POSCON opened such a server Obviously this has been probably been discussed, but I think opening one as soon as you can will help the community grow faster. Since this is a project in very early stages I suppose opening a single server now would be fine, and later on expanding and having a sector for each "club".

On VATSIM/IVAO, CTR positions cover everything from enroute down to delivery. That's effective in some cases as it allows coverage throughout the whole system with only one controller, but in many cases means that enroute controllers don't get to focus on their main job, the enroute bit, and instead have to worry about large numbers of airports, which degrades service throughout the system. Is the intention to do this also, have a hybrid model (maybe have some CTRs cover top-down, some just their own airspace, [and maybe aerodrome cover top-down too])?

Hello Andrew/Poscon team, I've been watching from a distance, and I am somewhat curious to the nature of the relationship of Poscon and X-Plane, and your intentions for the platform. As a user, I think it's fair to say that we have been rather disgruntled by the rather lacking support and innovation from vatsim and ivao. I don't suppose there is anything you can share with us as of yet? (with respect to development schedules and current reserved features.)

as i know , the poscon have an automatic supervisor function just like both network supervisor team . but is that also have an team operation by the" real people "so to help the network ?

Hi Guys, Really looking forward to Poscon! I just have an idea to perhaps restrict the age of who can register to eliminate the trolls on frequency. It's really just an idea, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but if they have then excellent. Either way I am sincerely looking forward to Poscon!

One of my major criticisms with VATSIM is that with management, it is very hard to get concerns/ideas to the people who need to know them. How will this be mitigated in POSCON?

Hi, first may I say it's nice to find someone looking to move virtual aviation forwards! I've been a regular controller on Vatsim and pilot since 2011, so this is very interesting stuff. Flightplanning can in some cases be one of my favorite things to do. As previously stated, some form of ACARS is being worked on; given that ACARS works with the company flight dispatch, it seems like an obvious option to allow for company flight dispatch, maybe with a seporate atc-like qualification. it'd probably improve the quality of people's flightplans, as well as allowing them to ask things to "the company" such as stands, flight codes etc
